How do I find a good veterinarian?
The same way you would find a doctor for yourself or your child: ask for referrals from trusted sources, such as friends, family and neighbors. Some shelters and humane organization offer referrals as well. However, be sure to screen the veterinarian yourself. Make sure the vet is licensed in your state, has a clean and safe facility, and that you and your animal have a good rapport with the vet.
