Pet-Friendly Hotels

Once scarce, pet-friendly hotels are now appearing everywhere. Hotels have caught on that we don't like to be separated from our pets when we travel and so have gone pet-friendly. Many of these hotels have amenities just for pets-gourmet doggy or feline biscuits on the pillow at night, pet massages, pet-walking services and doggy day-care. Call ahead of your trip as many of these hotels have weight or breed restrictions.

Also, carry medical records for your pet and check with your veterinarian before you travel. You might be staying in an area that requires your pet to receive a new series of shots. And don't forget to bring your pet's medications, special foods, id tags, and a picture of your pet in case he or she should become lost.
