Question 15
How can I reduce the risk of my pet getting lost or
stolen, and what should I do if this does happen?
An I.D. tag is a must, along with a microchip, if possible
(the microchipping process takes only a few minutes,
and is provided at many shelters and veterinary offices).
But time is still of the essence. If your pet is missing,
start searching immediately. Call and visit local shelters,
put signs up in the neighborhood, post a "lost
pet" noticed on-line - whatever it takes to get
your pet home quickly and safely.
