Tip 2 - HEALTH

Wellness Check-Ups

Animals work hard to conceal any evidence of pain or sickness. Thousands of years worth of instinct tells them if they appear weak or disabled, they may end up as another animal's prey. Because they try to mask and hide symptoms of illness, by the time it becomes obvious to you that your pet is hurting or compromised, often it may be too late to cure or even manage the disease.

That is why it is important to schedule annual visits for your pets, regardless of how healthy they appear. Prevention is the key when treating animals. Your veterinarian sees things you won't: A rotting tooth, a mass in the belly, or the early signs of liver or kidney disease. Take your pet in for a wellness check-up annually. You'll extend the life-and quality of life-for your pet.
