How do I know when it is time to put my pet down?

Some things to consider: if your pet is critically injured, terminally ill, is in constant pain or cannot engage in its normal activities any longer and cannot be helped with medical treatment, it may be time. Regardless of a pet's age or health status, however, this is always a heart-wrenching decision that should be made in close consultation with your veterinarian.
